Tim Roozendaal

Coach

I'm Tim — a running coach and gait analyst based in the Netherlands. I help runners move better through gait analysis, coaching, and practical advice on training and footwear.

I studied Human Motion Technology and spent three years working at a running specialty store in Alkmaar, fitting and analyzing hundreds of runners.

That combination taught me something most specialists miss: gait, training, strength, and shoes all affect each other.

— "You can't fix a running problem by only looking at one thing."

How I got here:

During my studies, I did an internship at a podiatrist clinic. The person doing gait analysis had no idea how running shoes actually worked — what they did to movement, which shoes suited which runners.

That surprised me. The more I looked, the more I saw this everywhere.

Physios who understand rehab but not footwear. Running stores that know shoes but not gait. Coaches who write training plans but never look at how someone moves. I wanted to be the person who connects all of it.

"Running isn't just my job. I genuinely enjoy training hard and chasing times."

I train around 10 hours a week and recently ran a 38:16 10k. I'm working to go faster this year. I also love to do fastpacking trips.

I know how much your running matters to you. That's why I care about getting it right.

I'm not here to sell you one service and move on. I want to actually help which sometimes means telling you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. I'll be honest, thorough, and in your corner for the long run.
